Game/LEVEL DESIGN

Working either alone or with a group of fellow designers, I work to write game design documents and designing gameplay features based on the requested specifications. I am a capable level designer and able to convey designs through drawings and animated fly-through's. 

Project AGL

Rapid level design done for project AGL to issuer level verity and experiment with gameplay features. These designs were constructed in Maya very quickly and then tested in Unreal 4 for gameplay viability and working design aspects. 

These concepts where developed and tested to find the the successful aspects of each map. I then took the map into an art stage and designed the look and feel of the map in Unreal 4. Leaving blue assets to be brought through a full pipeline to insure proper quality and custom asset range. 

Project StarFarm

This level was made to be a smaller part of a space station while working with a  larger design team. These drawings where done on a white board so other members of the team where able to work off of them and add impute to the designs. Though only one of several sections of the space station, this design helped to establish layout themes and identify the needed assets to complete the environment. 

SpaceStationDesign

Arena Mayhem

This level was made in Unreal 4 for a battle arena driving game. The terrain was designed and imported from world machine and the props a combination of preexisting and custom assets. Further specification about the game are listed under the Project Involvement tab.

The primary design specifications and initial layout where derived from a popular Mario Cart level Block Fort. These designs where taken into a modern setting to match the battle arena theme; however the basic layout remained true to the original design of Block Fort (as shown below).

Unreal tournament 

This level was made for Unreal Tournament in Unreal 4. Designed for Death match with larger teams, a great deal of effort was put into this level to insure that the proper balance between enough tactical options and fluid map navigation to ensure fun and engaging gameplay. 

Through out the design process I often will do overlays to solve trouble some gameplay problems and explore the options that I have available.
